The Giraffe Centre

The Giraffe Manor, built in 1932 by Sir David Duncan, is situated on 140 acres of land just a few miles (15) from the city center of Nairobi. In the centre you will have an enticing experience of a real giraffe touch, feeding the famous and endangered Rothschild giraffes. There is an impressive variety of birds’ species which can be viewed through the year.
A visit to the Karen Blixen Farm, which was named after a Danish lady who came to Kenya in the early part of this century, will provide a relaxing experience. The farm’s name was once a shooting site to a movie that was shot in Kenya by the name, Out Of Africa which was also a title to Karen’s own novel. The early morning after spending a night at one of the five spacious and executive rooms is mmm…ahhah even words can not describe this scene. You will be greeted by the curious giraffes as they stretch their necks towards your bedroom window which is such a wonderful and an un-expected event. During the day there will be a walk and nature excursion that will reward you with a great view of a variety of bird species, wildlife and natural scenario.
See you there soon; you will not be disappointed by these places
